WOLF, a WMS online survey and database, is now available in
the UK. The WMS On-Line Finder offers a
unique way to shortlist WMS suppliers for potential clients looking for a first

German and International WMS suppliers already listed for mainland Europe.
Suppliers have to complete a survey of the key benefits of
their systems and also are required to grade their target markets. They then pay an annual fee to
register. Potential clients enter their
requirements free of charge and get a shortlist of the best matches.
WOLF is operated internationally by the Supply Chain Group
and in the UK via their agents, Logistics Simulation. Dave Morrow of Logistic Simulation has found many WMS suppliers
are keen learn more details, “We’ve had lots of interest, as there is a lack of
this type of online service. Our
feedback from Europe is very positive, with both suppliers and clients pleased
with this approach.”

redesign warehouses without large capital budgets. By
utilising our warehouse simulation software we can compare many different
solutions within the existing buildings and often with the existing equipment. This method quickly shows the most efficient way to run an
operation.”
A standard method is simple but effective.
Starting with analysis of historic data the team quickly gain an understanding of the business and come up with innovative solutions. Those solutions are tested using a fresh set of data, using modelling or
simulation.
The simulation then shows if it will work, and how much better it will be.
